Footsteps to Freedom: Walking With Purpose
Now here’s a young man serving a bigger purpose while taking up a bigger physical challenge! Determined to serve his fellow man and his country, Nivendra Uduman walked over 550 KM across Sri Lanka to Raise awareness on mental health in 2016. This year, together with Ranil Thilakaratne and Sara Nazoor, he will be walking around the coastal belt over 1,400 KM, starting April 1st from Mount Lavinia.
Sri Lanka is amongst the top four countries with the highest suicide rates globally. Given that we need to prioritize mental health interventions, the efforts taken by these individuals in their own small way are commendable. Support their cause by joining them, spread the message, and share this video if you found it inspirational. Even if you can’t commit to the whole two months, you can walk with them at certain points convenient for you or join any of the workshops they will be conducting.
