A Story of True Grit
This truly inspiring story of Sashi and Khalid shows us that anyone can achieve the impossible – regardless of stereotypes of gender, ethnicity, or “ability.” If you’ve ever doubted your capabilities, watch this video to realize the potential that lies within everyone of us.
Sashi Madushanka lost his sight in 2009 in an accident but he doesn’t let it stop him from achieving his lifelong dream of being a triathlete; Kalidh Oshman turned blind in 2012 but this propelled him to perform the amazing feats he has achieved since then. Khalid is supported by Shaki who is partially hearing impaired. These and many other differently-abled athletes have been supported by Julian Bolling and The Rainbow Swimming Academy.
By the time you watch this video, Khalid completed the challenge of Ironman 70.3 Colombo this February 25th and set a new record for himself and Sri Lanka!
